These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Vinfo.app ("Vinfo", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using our vehicle checks, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
About Vinfo
Vinfo provides UK vehicle history checks (SMART Check and Full Check) that combine data from DVLA, DVSA and our vehicle data provider — including MOT history, outstanding finance, write-off status and stolen-vehicle records — together with AI-generated predictive maintenance insights based on a vehicle's MOT and defect history.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Vinfo. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You're responsible for providing accurate registration details, keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Vehicle reports and AI insights
We compile vehicle reports from DVLA, DVSA and third-party vehicle data sources, and we take care to present that data accurately. Because we rely on government and third-party sources, we can't guarantee the data is complete, up to date or error-free, and we're not responsible for inaccuracies in the underlying source data.
AI-generated predictive maintenance insights are estimates intended to help guide your decisions — they are not a substitute for an independent inspection by a qualified mechanic, and should not be relied on as the sole basis for buying, selling or maintaining a vehicle.
Payments, credits and subscriptions
Current pricing is shown on our Pricing page. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Credits and subscription entitlements are applied to your account once a payment is confirmed. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account; cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund credits already used.
Acceptable use
When using Vinfo, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass the security or rate limits of our systems.
- Post abusive, defamatory or infringing content in blog comments or elsewhere on the site.
- Misuse vehicle data obtained through Vinfo, or use it in a way that breaches DVLA, DVSA or our data provider's own terms of use.
Blog comments and user content
If you post a comment on our blog, you're responsible for what you post, and you grant us a licence to display it on the site. Comments are reviewed before publication and we may remove or decline to publish content that breaches these Terms.
Intellectual property
The Vinfo website, branding and the reports we generate are owned by us or licensed to us. You may use a report you've purchased for your own personal or business use, but you may not republish, resell or redistribute our reports or site content without our written permission.
Third-party services
Vinfo relies on and links to third-party services, including DVLA, DVSA, Stripe, Google and Meta, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for the availability, accuracy or content of those third-party services.
Limitation of liability
Vinfo is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You can close your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
